Statewide – Serving Tailors ₹30,000+ – Welfare Benefits
As a Statewide Association, We Are Dedicated to Empowering and Supporting Tailors Across Kerala Through Welfare, Training, and Unity.
Established in 1971, the Kerala State Tailors Association (KSTA) stands as a pillar of support for tailors across the state. With decades of service, KSTA has continuously worked towards the welfare, recognition, and skill development of its members.
Our mission is to unite tailoring professionals under one platform — ensuring fair opportunities, access to welfare benefits exceeding ₹30,000+, and consistent growth through workshops, awareness programs, and social initiatives.
Guided by strong leadership and a vision for progress, KSTA strives to elevate the tailoring community, preserve craftsmanship, and adapt to modern advancements in fashion and textile industries.
From humble beginnings to a statewide movement, KSTA continues to empower and uplift tailors through unity, welfare, and innovation.
KSTA was first formed at Marine Drive, Ernakulam, with Sri V. M. Paily as President and Sri Mrinal Sen as General Secretary.
After the Emergency period, the association was relaunched from Thiruvananthapuram under new leadership.
On April 8, 1983, KSTA was officially registered with Reg. No. 104/83.
The Tailoring Workers Welfare Bill passed in 1995, and the welfare board was established in 1996.
